For those who cannot enroll in the Discipleship Program, but would like to sample the flavor of the Program and its spiritual atmosphere, we are offer a 12-week introductory course to the teachings the interns receive at Evergreen Center.
The objective for the Distance Learning Programs is to experience some of the spiritual atmosphere that the live-in interns experience at Evergreen Center. This will be accomplished by cultivating a habit of personal time with Jesus, spiritual development through the study of the core material and readings and focusing on the Bible to gain a deeper understanding of the Scriptures. The method that will be used to achieve the above objective will be through directed lessons, written assignments (including assigned readings), weekly personal inter-active studies (student/learner w/EC advisor), and personal journaling. The length of time to complete the Distance Learning Program will be twelve (12) weeks or three (3) months. The fee which includes all lessons and reading material will be $750 (= $250/month).
The course content will be as follows:
Month One (4 weeks): Establish the reason for, the nature of, and the results achieved by, a daily Quiet Time with the Lord.
Month Two (4 weeks): Introduce What the Bible Teaches About Mercy, using the book by Rex Andrews, the shortened course by Doug Detert, and other helpful materials.
Month Three (4 weeks): Explore one book of the Bible (possibly Ephesians), applying what was learned in the first two months of the course.
