For those who cannot enroll in the Discipleship Program, but would like to sample the flavor of the Program and its spiritual atmosphere, we are offer a 12-week introductory course to the teachings the interns receive at Evergreen Center.
The objective for the Distance Learning Programs is to experience some of the spiritual atmosphere that the live-in interns experience at Evergreen Center. This will be accomplished by cultivating a habit of personal time with Jesus, spiritual development through the study of the core material and readings and focusing on the Bible to gain a deeper understanding of the Scriptures. The method that will be used to achieve the above objective will be through directed lessons, written assignments (including assigned readings), weekly personal inter-active studies (student/learner w/EC advisor), and personal journaling. The length of time to complete the Distance Learning Program will be twelve (12) weeks or three (3) months. The program cost is $750 = $250/month (some materials are provided in the cost and some must be purchased separately).
The course content will be as follows:
Month One (4 weeks): Establish the reason for, the nature of, and the results achieved by, a daily Quiet Time with the Lord.
Month Two (4 weeks): Introduce What the Bible Teaches About Mercy, using the book by Rex Andrews, the shortened course by Doug Detert, and other helpful materials.
Month Three (4 weeks): Explore one book of the Bible (possibly Ephesians), applying what was learned in the first two months of the course.
